sounds very mild especially since you can take those medications and they will help. 2 pentasta a day is nothing and you are quite lucky actually. sounds almost like colitis or IBS instead of crohns.

nick, there’s a community acupuncture clinic in NYC, do a google search. It’s like $20/visit. It will really help you and get you off the meds. Go 3 times a week at first if you can.

Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are inflammatory conditions caused by a faulty immune system: your body is attacking the wrong things, creating ulcers, etc. in your digestive tract. We don’t know the cause, but there is a strong hereditary component. Symptoms vary from nothing at all (remission) to gut pain/bloody diarrhea to requiring surgery.

Read “The makers diet” By DR,Jordan Rubin. He had crohn’s and almost died. Weighed 90 pounds at his lowest but made it. He is an MD but also believes in natural cures. I benefitted alot from it and I recommend people to read it and try it. It helped me alot.

Yes this is a very painful disease, it’s as painful as it is hard to talk about.I would not recommend any pain killers because it’s probaly not safe but the medications help with the condition and for some can stop the pain as it heals but there will be pain regardless because it’s chronic with no cure

is it a painful disease? Do you need pain killers for it or does other medication prevent pain from starting?
